I have been a huge fan of Jackie Ivie ever since I picked up the Lady of The Knight in paperback many years ago. I then become fixated on her VAL series with the first book Knight After Knight. I never dreamed I would impatiently wait every 2-3 months on further books in a series, but yet that is what I do with the Vampire Assassin League. Each short read gives you a glimpse into the lives of the vampires who “Kill For Profit” and only wish to find their mate.Nigel Beethan in AND RICHER is no different. Turned at the age of 19, he is the youngest VAL Assassin/Computer Geek and has watched as the others have found their mates and happiness. Nigel had to put his happiness on the back burner, as his mate was dating his human grandson. Now that Mandy has called it quits with Paul Henry, Nigel has his chance to work his magic in the romantic city of Venice to win Mandy's heart.
If you want a quick, fun, sexy paranormal read, then this book and series is for you. Jackie Ivie has outdone herself with Nigel and Mandy's romance. Each book can be read as a standalone, but I would recommend reading them all to really get a good background of the Vampire Assassin League.

I just love this series. It just keeps getting better. If you like vampire romance/adventures this is one of the best series there is. The characters are well developed even though the stories aren't real long so they can be read in one or two settings and the stories build on one another but can be read as stand alone stories as well. Can't wait for the next in the series!
so in the book 25 of 28 books in the Val series . its Nigel's story and his mate as we learned is Mandy who was dating his grandson Paul Henry . now Mandy and Paul are no more can Nigel finally claim his mate or will outside forces keep them apart . find this and much more when you buy and read this and all the VAL series .
Absolutely a great read. I give this book 5 stars because I loved it. I have read all of the Vampire Assassin League books and this book was highly anticipated among fans. Jackie Ivie created a story that gives us Nigel as we imagined him to be a young man in love and getting his mate at long last.
Cannot wait for the next book.....and the next......and the next.
Nigel and Mandy.....finally I am a happy female I have finished with another VAL and it was excellent as always. Nigel as you know did the Nobel thing and walked away from his mate for obvious reasons but fate stepped in and they found each other. Love the leather scene and Akron oh how I love him. I would definitely be his mate any day. Jackie Ivie I do love you and your vampires. Until the next one...hugs
While I've loved all of this series I have to say this is my new fav! Nigel is finally getting his mate and whew does he get her. What I loved the most about this book beyond Nigel finally getting his mate was the humor in it, a fun bit of mystery and action yes but the humor was what got me with him and Akron. Akron shows up so to speak in a variety of ways which was very fun and funny! Thanks for the fun Jackie and for those who haven't read this book buy and enjoy as I did!
And Richer, is Nigel's story. Loved it! Nigel is a favorite of mine and I have been waiting for his HEA. Akron played a big part making things perfect for Nigel and Mandy, well as perfect as any mateing seems to go for the VAL vampires. Nigel is Nigel so there is plenty to make you smile if not laugh out loud. I loved Count Reynaldo, hope that he and his Hunter have a story. There is still the twins they are also a favorite, Lizbeth, Vaughn and Akron. Love this series. It's a go to when ever I want a quick, sexy and fun read!
Nigel works for the leader of the VAL. He is also the grandfather of Paul Henry, the future leader of the vampire hunters (talk about family drama). Nigel just found his mate. Simple, right? Not even close. Turns out his mate is his grandsons' girlfriend. Tormented, Nigel walks away from his mate. Time passes and Akron tells him that Paul Henry and his girlfriend have broken up. Ecstatic, Nigel goes to Venice to be with her. There's just one little problem. How does he approach his mate, when he looks exactly like her ex? Solution wear a mask. It worked for Zorro, it should work for him (and if you believe that, then you'll believe the moon is made from Swiss cheese🌝).
